Intermediate Legal Administrative Assistant – Litigation

Salary: $70,000 – $85,000

Our client, a well-established and highly respected Vancouver law firm, is seeking an Intermediate Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal administrative professional with a strong understanding of litigation procedures who enjoys working in a collaborative, professional environment.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to lawyers and their practices while managing competing priorities with accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.

The Role

• Prepare, draft, format, and transcribe legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other materials
• Coordinate mediations, discoveries, trials, client meetings, and other litigation-related appointments
• Manage active files, including organizing documents, maintaining filing systems, and ensuring files are kept current
• Maintain an effective bring-forward system and follow up on important deadlines
• Open, maintain, and close files in accordance with firm procedures
• Prepare and follow up on monthly and quarterly billing statements
• Provide general administrative and practice support as required
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with lawyers and other support professionals
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive client and legal information

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, documentation, and filing practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Experience with Elite 3E is considered an asset
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently
• Professional, collaborative, and client-service-oriented approach
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
